Dia De Los Muertos

El Dia de los Muertos is celebrated because that the dead after their long pilgrimage from the other life arrive on earth tired and thirsty. And to remember the people who have passed away

It occurs a week before the 1st and 2nd of November.

The festivals are celebrated at the cemetery and at the streets of the table and run h

The altars are generally set on a table and then it is wrapped with a tablecloth, white sheet or with perforated tissue paper. Sugarcane is bound to the foot of the table and run high overhead into the shape of a triumphal arch.Oaxaca mole, freshly seasoned by the women, nicuatole, pumpkin with black sugar sugarcane, tejocotes, pan DE muerto and chocolate stone.

Comparsas are a type of a group of dancing people that represent manifestations from different religions and cultures of the country

On the day of the dead they go to the cemeteries and they set up food and drinks for them

The history of El Dia De los Muertos is that more than 500 years ago when the Spanish conquistadors landed in what is now Mexico they encountered the natives practicing a ritual that seemed to mock them. It was mostly the indigenous people that had been practicing at leat 3,000 years.
Another interesting thing is that the most vivid moving of The Day of The Dead celebrations take place on this island of Janitzio in lago de Patzcuaro

PROP 2

Prop 2 wants to

  • allow animals for the majority of everyday to fully extend their bodies

  • Specified animals include calves raised for veal, egg-laying hens, and pregnant pigs

  • Farmers who do not follow this prop will be fined $1000 or imprisonment in jail up to 180 days

My Opinion- is that they need more space in the farms so they can stretch and not die because they are suffering in a small place where they cant even move. So i think they need more space!Because the farmers wouldn't like to be in a small place where they couldn't move!

Life as an Egyptian-Games and Sports

Children played with balls made in different ways.

  • The outside covering was made by cloth, leather or papyrus and the inside was made by barely husks, straw, grass, rags, reeds or horsehair.

  • They would also use wooden balls to knock down skittles(wooden sticks etc.)

  • The girls would play with the 3 balls and juggle them

  • Also there was girls' games that involved throwing and catching the ball while clapping in between throws and catches
  • They also played board games this game involved the adults and children-there most popular game was chutes and ladders
Egyptians life is similar to ours:
For example they had a bowling game just like us and they would play the same way

Cesar Chavez

Cesar Chavez did a lot of things to better the lives of Mexican farm workers at a time when no one knew about the poor working standards of migrant farm workers. He helped to establish UFW whose goal was to have a better work environment for those who worked the fields of America. He spoke for those who were afraid to speak out loud and who was afraid to lose their jobs.

A Poem To My Baby!

On the day you were born
It was like the stars coming out of the sky
Knowing that something so beautiful was living inside me!It was emotional!

On the day you were born
I remember holding you in my arms
and you looking at me crying
That's when I new that I have a beautiful reason why to live
I Love You Zahaithy!!!

On the day you were born
I couldn't stop crying
For the fact that i new you were always gonna be by my side
Holding your hand and kissing you and hugging you

Now that you smile
I go back into the day you were born
and say ''I cant believe your here....and that your mine forever"

My Goals For This Semester!

*My first goal for this semester is to participate more because I haven't been participating like I used to!

*My second goal is to come to school on time and everyday!
