Howard Zinn at City College
What I liked about the event that went on City College was how the performers performed their characters. I really like the one about the girl talking about how her husband was in the war and how she had 2 kids and the government gives her a check each month and she said what does she need that check for if her husband is dead.
I also liked the guy that rapped I liked him because of what he said. He said that now days everybody raps about girls with big booty and money, but they don't talk about what is really happening out in the world.

Fannie Lou Hamer
Quote: "I am sick and tired of being sick and tired"
She is tired of working too much and nobody changing nothing and everything is the same. So she is done with working and protesting if everything goes back to being the same and her not being able to accomplishe what she really wanted which was being a outspoken advocate for civil rights for African Americans.

Manifest Destiny
Manifest Destiny was the idea in the 19th century. The U.S. was clearly intented by God to have all the land between the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. I think this picture represents this concept by the way the godish is flying over the land. As her ordering the land between those two oceans. And a peace way, I think that it's in a peace way because she is wearing white and it's a very peaceful and quiet color.
