What I liked about the event that went on City College was how the performers performed their characters. I really like the one about the girl talking about how her husband was in the war and how she had 2 kids and the government gives her a check each month and she said what does she need that check for if her husband is dead.

I also liked the guy that rapped I liked him because of what he said. He said that now days everybody raps about girls with big booty and money, but they don't talk about what is really happening out in the world.

M.C. Escher full name is Mauritis Cornelis Escher.

He was born June 17, 1898-Leeuwarden, The Netherlands.

M.C. was a sickly child.

He attended Harlem School of Architecture on 1903-1918.

He got married in 1924 to Jetta Umiker.

He had a son name Giorgio Amaldo Escher.

His first print of an impossible reality was Still Life and Street.

He is known for his often mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints.

She is tired of working too much and nobody changing nothing and everything is the same. So she is done with working and protesting if everything goes back to being the same and her not being able to accomplishe what she really wanted which was being a outspoken advocate for civil rights for African Americans.

Manifest Destiny

Manifest Destiny was the idea in the 19th century.The U.S. was clearly intented by God to have all the land between the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean. I think this picture represents this concept by the way the godish is flying over the land. As her ordering the land between those two oceans. And a peace way, I think that it's in a peace way because she is wearing white and it's a very peaceful and quiet color.

The Kite Runner

So far I have liked this book, I havent read it from the beging but I already started reading it. The part that I liked was when Hassein meets Soraya. I liked this part because it was so romantic how they get to now each other and he trys to talk to her often. The part that I didnt like was when Hassin was geting rapped and Amir didnt do anything to help him. I will recommend this book to anybody it is really interesting and sad.

Rihannas Interview

What I think about the interview that Rihanna gave was that it is true that no guy has an excuse for hitting a girl. I also couldn't believe that Chris Brown did that to her because am a fan of him so I first thought she had to do something horrible for him to do something to her but i never thought he hit her so bad.

Goals

By asking dawn for a book I can work on it when am done with my work. By coming to school I need to wake up early and be here before 8:30 a.m

Tears Of A Tiger

Well I really liked the book I liked the way it was written. I will recommend this book to the people who have problems drinking and driving so they can see that its dangerous. i would really recommend it to one of my sisters-in-law beacuse she can relate to it but she never crashed what happened was that she always drinks and speeds and she has DUIs.

Obama's Speech: My Education, My Future

What I remember about the speech is when he said "To never give up on yourself" I liked that part because a lot of young teenagers give up and don't go back to school.His three important words were Education, Responsibility, School. I think they are important because they all relate to students and they have to have those things to be successful.Yes he has inspired me to move on to become a register nurse and move on to a doctor. No he hasn't challenge me. "No one has written your destiny you make your own destiny" means to me that you choose the way you live and they way you are you make your own decisions about yourself. Well my contribution will be to treat sick people in my city and other country's and to help them with whatever Ican to support them.

Words Alive Discussion:A Piece of Cake

What I liked about the book A Piece Of Cake was that everything the author wrote was real and I loved how she wrote it she wrote it how it really happened and exactly how everything happened. What I learned about this was that every person in the world has a story and you cant judge someone by there looks. What I liked about the discussion that we had about the book was how some girls related to the story and the cupcakes we had everything was great about it. I enjoyed the discussion because we got to meet some of the new girls that came in and also new somethings about there life that they related to the story.

1st Latina Supreme Court Justice

Sonia Sotomayor was born in the South Bronx area of New York City on June 25, 1954.Her parents were Puerto Rican immigrants. Her mother was a nurse at methadone clinic and her father was a tool-and-die worker who died when Sotomayor was only nine years.After her father death Sotomayor mother worked hard to raise the children as a single parent. Sotomayor graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx in 1972 and entered the ivy-league Princeton University. And now she is a U.S. Supreme Court judge.

I admire Sonia Sotomayor because now that I now she became a judge I now I can become something big now.

Folk Dancing
